Description
Reserva del Senor Anejo is a 100% agave tequila from Mexico, bottled at 38% in the aged class. It is built around an unusual triple distillation, one step beyond the twice-distilled tequila norm, which trims weight and pushes the spirit toward a lighter, rounder frame before the cask takes over.
After distillation it rests two years in oak, well past the one year añejo minimum, arriving at a deep gold colour. The nose carries vanilla and white chocolate with a nutty edge, and the round entry leads to an almost dry palate of medium to full body, creamy vanilla, toasted notes, cedar and salted roasted nuts. The finish turns to sweet, natural herbs with a fading taste of oak, an añejo that leans toward soft and savoury rather than heavily sweet.
