Relicario Supremo

Relicario works in the rounded, dessert leaning Dominican idiom, built on a light column still molasses spirit that keeps the focus on barrel and sweetness rather than raw distillate character. Bottled at a soft 40%, it aims at relaxed, accessible drinking rather than intensity, the sort of glass that asks little of the drinker.

The nose leans on barrel, vanilla, raisin and a candied note, while the palate brings orange peel, caramelised sugar and soft wood, closing on bitter orange and a warm sweetness. There is clear sugar in the Spanish house manner, placing it firmly in comfortable, sippable territory alongside other soft Latin rums. It is an honest crowd pleaser: an easy neat pour or a simple cocktail base, and a forgiving starting point for anyone just finding their way into aged rum.
