Description
ReimonenQ is a Guadeloupe agricole distillery working from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice under the island's IGP, and this Manta is an unaged blanc from the 2021 harvest. Rested in stainless steel before bottling, it is a pure expression of cane juice rather than a barrel-shaped rum.
Bottled at 55%, it offers more depth and texture than many blancs at this price. The nose is fresh, vegetal and floral with tropical fruit, the palate brings minty cane, banana and a green vegetal core, and the finish stays fresh and fruity with a saline edge. The standout is a pleasant oily weight that coats the mouth and lifts it above the average white. The strength is a feature, and it rewards attention neat, over ice, or in a Ti' Punch where its fruit and texture come forward.
