Description
The Rammstein rum line, bottled by Denmark's 1423 World Class Spirits, reaches its eighth limited edition with this Limoux cask finish from 2024, a molasses based rum finished in casks from the Limoux wine region of southern France, presented at 46%. The wine finish lends a fruity, spiced overlay, with woody, dried fruit and allspice aromas leading the nose.
The palate brings caramel, a clear sweetness and ripe fruit, finishing on confected sweetness, wood and allspice. With distillery and exact maturation length unstated, it reads as an approachable, gently sweet cask finished bottling rather than a dry purist's rum, the Limoux casks giving it a distinct fruity character.
