Description
Ramazzotti, the Milanese house long known for its herbal liqueurs, also makes this limoncello from macerated lemon peel, drawing the fruit's essential oils into spirit before sweetening. It is bottled at 29% in the traditional southern style, bright and zesty.
The nose is fruity and tangy with clear lemon, the palate a harmonious sweet and sour with juicy citrus. Behind the bar it gives a sharp, sweet lemon lift: serve it frozen and neat as a digestivo, build a Limoncello Spritz with Prosecco and soda, or stir it into a lemon drop, a collins or a sour. It also pours well over lemon sorbet to finish a meal.
