Pusser's Green Label Overproof is a 151-proof navy-style rum at 75.5 percent, led by Guyana's dark, woody distillate in the British naval tradition. This is firmly a high-octane bottle for experienced drinkers, designed to deliver power and depth rather than subtlety.

The flavour runs to burnt caramel, cocoa and coffee with roasted nuts, dried fruit and plenty of wood, weighty and intense from start to finish. At this strength it demands respect: most will reach for it to drive a tiki cocktail or a float where its concentration shines, while only the brave take it in careful, tiny neat sips. It makes no claim to finesse, and judged as the bold, muscular mixing rum it is, it does that job with conviction.
