Pusser‘s Rum British Navy

Pusser's recreates the British Royal Navy's daily tot, a molasses blend bottled at navy strength 54.5% and openly sweetened. It carries a rustic, full-bodied profile and trades on naval heritage, but its natural home is the cocktail shaker rather than the tasting glass.

The nose leans on chocolate, coffee and prunes with an alcoholic lift, the palate brings caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla and a whisky-like edge, and the finish runs woody with caramel, licorice and that same whisky note. Sweetened and powerful, it shows some rough edges neat and asks to be aired before sipping. Where it earns its keep is in mixed drinks, its strength and bold, dark character cutting cleanly through a Dark and Stormy or a navy punch.
