Made at one of Carmona’s oldest distilleries in Seville province, this rose-pink Andalusian gin has charmed its way into bottle collections since 2013. A romantic pour, dressed for a toast.
Description
From a long-standing distillery in Carmona, on the plains east of Seville, Puerto de Indias built its name on strawberries rather than the usual citrus-and-spice routine. This Strawberry & Love bottling dresses that signature in a Valentine's coat, all light pink in the glass and pitched squarely at sharing. The fruit is real and forward, yet juniper is never quite abandoned underneath.
The nose opens on strawberries with a whisper of tart spice behind the juniper. On the palate it turns soft and lightly sweet, the berry fruit ripe and rounded rather than sugary, before a long finish carries that strawberry note right through. Pour over plenty of ice with a premium tonic and a few fresh strawberries to garnish.
