Pravda Caramel takes a Polish potato vodka and folds in natural caramel. The base spirit comes from the Tatra region, made with local potatoes and clear spring water, which give it a fuller, creamier body. The caramel adds a sweet depth, balanced by a slight saltiness that keeps it from turning cloying.

Description
Pravda has been distilling in the Tatra region of southern Poland since 2002, drawing on local potatoes and clear mountain spring water. Potato as a base is the key here: it ferments into a spirit with a fuller, creamier body than grain, which gives the vodka something to carry the flavouring. That base is then refined with natural caramel extract, a step that adds sweetness and depth without masking the spirit underneath. The brand also runs on renewable energy and recycled waste, and its bottles are mouth-blown by Polish glassmakers. This expression sits at 37.5%.
The nose is full of rich, inviting caramel. The palate is smooth and sweet with a clear caramel flavour, lifted by a slight saltiness that keeps it balanced, and the finish lingers sweet and long. The salted-caramel angle is worth playing to, so build a Salted Caramel Espresso Martini: shake the vodka with a shot of fresh espresso, a little coffee liqueur and a pinch of sea salt, then strain and finish with a light salt rim on the glass.
