Lemon, bergamot and bitter orange crowd the front of this Veneto gin, juniper holding steady beneath the citrus rush. Distilled in copper at the Poli family stills near Bassano del Grappa, going strong since 1898. Lively and clean, with a finish that keeps ringing of Italian sunshine.

Description
The Poli family has been distilling at Schiavon, near Bassano del Grappa in the Veneto, since 1898, and their Marconi 44 line brings that craft to a modern gin. The Agrumato is the citrus expression: alongside juniper, coriander and angelica root come Italian lemons, bitter oranges and bergamots, distilled in traditional copper stills for clarity. At 44% it is intense but balanced, bottled in the line's distinctive modern flask.
The nose is fresh and bright, lemon, bergamot and bitter orange leading with juniper just behind. The palate is lively and elegant, fruity citrus over fine spice and gentle herbs, the finish long and clean with that citrus ringing on. Pour it over a premium tonic with a slice of bergamot, or let it lift a Negroni Bianco. It is a natural partner for antipasti and grilled seafood too.
