Poli Elisir Limone Liquore

Poli Elisir Limone Liquore is an Italian lemon liqueur produced by Poli, a historic family distillery in Bassano del Grappa, Veneto, in operation since 1898. In the limoncello tradition the peel of sun ripened lemons is gently macerated to preserve the essential oils and full citrus flavour of the fruit, then sweetened. Bottled at 27%, it leans fresh and zesty rather than heavy, a refreshing house speciality.

The nose is fresh, intense and citrusy with fine lemon zest, the palate sweetish fresh, soft and balanced around a clear lemon aroma, closing pleasantly fresh and lightly sweet. For a bar it delivers concentrated lemon flavour, sweetness and acidity balance in a single pour, a quick way to brighten a serve. It shows best well chilled as a digestif or aperitif, neat over crushed ice or lengthened with tonic water, and brings a fresh Mediterranean note to summer cocktails.
