Deep ruby in the glass, with sloes, ripe red berries and a tart almond edge from the stones. Hand-picked sloes are steeped in Plymouth Gin for months, drawing out colour and fruit while juniper murmurs underneath. Soft, sweet and slightly spiced, it is winter in a glass.

Description
Plymouth has been distilling gin since 1793 from its Blackfriars home, and this sloe gin is its fruited variation. Hand-picked sloe berries are macerated in Plymouth Gin for several months, the slow steep coaxing out a deep ruby colour and a brooding berry character while the classic botanicals, juniper, coriander and citrus peel, hold quietly in the background.
The nose offers sloes, ripe red berries and a hint of almond. The palate is full and smooth, sweet berry fruit met by subtle juniper, a light herbal spice and that gentle marzipan note from the stones. At a mild 26% it finishes long, fruit sweetness balanced by soft acidity. Lovely neat over ice, or topped with chilled Prosecco for a sloe royale.
