Petovia Encian Grenki Liker

Petovia Encian Grenki Liker is a herbal liqueur from the Petovia range, made at Ptujska klet in Ptuj, Slovenia, and named for gentian. It pairs the intense flavour of gentian root with a balanced blend of herbs and spices, made by traditional methods from natural ingredients, and is bottled at 25% by volume in a 1 litre bottle. Gentian carries a deep, earthy bitterness that gives the liqueur its backbone.

The nose shows spicy herbal notes with a hint of citrus and an earthy sweetness, the palate balanced and pleasantly sweet with herbal notes and clear gentian, finishing medium length with subtle herbs and citrus. In a drink it adds a bitter root backbone and herbal lift that cut sweetness, a useful tool for building a more savoury cocktail. It is excellent as a digestif neat or on ice, and pairs particularly well with cheese platters, savoury snacks and chocolate desserts.
