Description
Pazo da Sinsela is a Galician project shaped by the ideas of Rodrigo Méndez and Raúl Pérez, two winemakers known for their textural, terroir focused Albariño from Spain's Atlantic northwest. San Clemente is a barrel aged expression of the grape, made in a fuller, more textured style than the standard fresh version. The vineyards lie on granite and sandy soils in a cool, damp maritime climate, where sea breezes and steady rainfall keep the fruit lively and the acidity firm. The wine spends around twelve months in oak barrels, which adds a rounded weight and a subtle savoury complexity while extended time settling on its lees builds a creamy mid palate. The result is a pale gold Albariño with a nose of tropical fruit, white peach and citrus over white flowers and a stony minerality. The palate is fresh, complex and expressive, its vibrant acidity and saline grip carrying the richer texture into a long finish. It stays balanced rather than heavy. Serve it at around 10 to 12 degrees in a white wine glass.

Additional information
The oak weight makes this a good match for richer shellfish such as scallops and lobster, as well as white fish in a sauce. It also works with roast chicken and milder hard cheeses.
