Description
Patron Extra Anejo is the oldest core expression from Patron, made at Hacienda Patron in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, the house known for blending tahona crushed and roller milled agave at scale. It is 100% Blue Weber agave, aged a minimum of three years, which pushes it firmly into oak led territory where the agave reads as a quieter, fruity thread.
Maturation runs across American, French and Hungarian oak, a spread of woods that builds its dark gold colour and layered aromatics. The nose carries dried fruit, coffee, chocolate, vanilla and black pepper, while the palate is fruity with light agave, chocolate, cinnamon, honey and vanilla, closing on oak, vanilla and dried fruit. Its depth makes it a frequent stand in for whiskey in cocktails. Bottled at 40%.
