Description
Patrón El Cielo is an unaged 100% Blue Weber blanco from Patrón, produced at NOM 1492, Hacienda Patrón, in Jalisco and owned by Bacardi. El Cielo, the sky in Spanish, marks the house's first venture into four times distillation, run on the smallest copper pot still at the hacienda to push the spirit toward softness while keeping the agave central.
The estate works with both tahona stone and roller mill, and the producer states the line is additive-free, so the character comes from agave and distillation rather than wood or sweetening. The extra distillation rounds the spirit considerably, giving fine cooked agave, a light sweetness and fruitiness with a touch of citrus, and a long, mild finish. The gold packaging references the volcanic tahona stone and the light of the Jalisco highlands. A clean, gentle blanco aimed at drinkers who prize delicacy over intensity.
