Patrón Tequila Añejo

Patrón Añejo is a 100% Blue Weber tequila from Hacienda Patrón at Atotonilco in Jalisco, produced under NOM 1492 and owned by Bacardi. The brand built its name in the United States as a widely sold higher end tequila, and the house is distinctive for blending tahona crushed and roller milled agave at large scale across dozens of stone wheels and copper pots.
Aged in oak casks, the Añejo carries a soft, rounded character with the gentle sweetness the barrel lends across a year or more in wood. Patrón is a producer stated additive-free brand, now carrying the CRT seal, so the vanilla and caramel here come from the cask rather than added syrup or oak extract. The result is a polished, easy going amber tequila bottled at 40%, the agave still legible beneath the oak.
