Patrón Reposado builds on the clarity of the original Patrón Silver, resting briefly in oak to introduce warmth and structure without losing its agave-forward character. Aged for several months in a mix of American, French, and Hungarian oak barrels, it balances fresh citrus and cooked agave with subtle vanilla, spice, and soft oak. Bottled at 40% ABV, it sits comfortably between vibrancy and depth.

Description
Patrón Reposado represents the next step in the brand’s original vision, expanding on the foundation laid by Patrón Silver when the range was introduced in the late 1980s. At a time when aged tequila was often heavy or overly woody, Patrón approached maturation with restraint, aiming to complement agave character rather than obscure it. Reposado was designed as a bridge between freshness and complexity, suitable for sipping while remaining versatile behind the bar.
The tequila is produced from Blue Weber agave grown in the Los Altos (Highlands) of Jalisco, where slower maturation contributes aromatic lift and natural sweetness. After slow cooking in stone and brick ovens, the agave is extracted using a combination of tahona and roller mills, then fermented openly in wooden vats. Double distillation in copper pot stills refines the spirit while preserving its core identity.
Maturation takes place for approximately five months in a combination of American, French, and Hungarian oak barrels, an intentional choice that adds layered influence rather than a single dominant oak profile. The result is a tequila that retains brightness while gaining texture and gentle spice.
On the nose, Patrón Reposado offers cooked agave, citrus, and light vanilla, followed by hints of honey, soft oak, and baking spice. The palate is rounded and balanced, with agave sweetness supported by subtle wood and a clean, warming finish. Bottled at 40% ABV, it delivers depth without heaviness, staying true to Patrón’s philosophy of precision and balance.
