Patrón Citrónge Orange Liqueur

Patrón Citrónge Orange Liqueur is produced in Jalisco, Mexico, using Patrón tequila as its base rather than neutral spirit. Natural essences from both sweet and bitter oranges are added to create a clear, fresh orange profile that stays focused and precise rather than heavy or syrupy. Bottled at 35% ABV, it has enough structure to stand up in cocktails without overpowering the base spirit.

The flavour profile leans toward fresh orange zest and juice, balanced by gentle bitterness and restrained sweetness. On the palate it delivers bright citrus upfront, followed by a smooth, lingering orange finish that integrates naturally with agave. The clarity and lift make it particularly effective in margaritas, palomas, cosmopolitans and other citrus driven cocktails where definition matters.

Citrónge Orange forms part of Patrón’s Citrónge range, which was introduced during the brand’s broader portfolio expansion in the late 2000s to early 2010s, when Patrón set out to offer tequila based alternatives to classic citrus liqueurs. It has since remained a long standing fixture in bars and back bars internationally, valued for consistency, balance, and its natural fit alongside tequila rather than against it.
