Paladin Agricanto Liquore

Paladin Agricanto Liquore is an Italian cherry liqueur from Casa Paladin, a winery in the Veneto region working in the DOCG area of Valpolicella. The house built its reputation on wine, and Agricanto was developed as a wine based elixir, carrying ripe cherry and spice on that foundation rather than on a neutral spirit. It is bottled at 25% by volume in a 700 ml bottle.

The nose is fruity and spicy, the palate elegant and rich, described as strong, delicate and invigorating, with ripe cherries leading and a warm spice running underneath. In a drink it adds deep cherry colour, sweetness and a rounded fruit body, useful for lifting sparkling serves, lengthening with soda, or building a cherry forward short. Its wine base gives a slightly different texture from a spirit liqueur, and the house pour is simply well chilled as a fruity, spiced digestif.
