Padre Azul Reposado Tequila Single Barrel Limited

This is a single-barrel reposado from Padre Azul, a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila limited to 2500 bottles for Europe, Asia and Africa. Rather than marrying many casks into one consistent batch, selected individual barrels were bottled on their own, so colour and profile vary from barrel to barrel, and the set arrives with two nosing glasses in a gift box.

The spirit rests nine months in carefully chosen 200 litre ex-bourbon casks from Four Roses in the United States, the source of its wood character. Aromas lead with mild agave, vanilla, dried fruits such as apricot, cinnamon and caramel, while the palate carries vanilla, apricot, caramel and agave with the oak clearly present. Bottled at 40%, it is a softer, sweet-leaning lowland reposado that shows the imprint of a single cask rather than a blended house style.
