The Roots, a Continental independent, bottles this Old Rhosdhu, a historic Loch Lomond malt name, a mature 29 year old from 1993.
Nearly three decades in ex-Bourbon mellow the light spirit, the gentle oak giving vanilla while evaporation slowly lowered the strength.
At 50.8% it shows citrus, cooked and fresh fruit, hay, honey and an oily depth over old wood. A mature Old Rhosdhu.
