The Caskhound bottles this Old Rhosdhu in its Exquisite Casks range, a historic Loch Lomond malt name, a mature 30 year old from 1990, cask 425.
Three decades in ex-Bourbon mellow the light spirit, the gentle oak giving vanilla while evaporation slowly lowered the strength.
At 47.8% it shows fresh fruit, a leafy and glasshouse-green freshness and new wood over the soft maturity of great age. A mature Old Rhosdhu.
