Full-bodied and warmly spiced, with dominant juniper softened by a fine sweetness and a curl of cinnamon and liquorice. Built to a 1783 recipe and poured, as it once was, into antique-style champagne bottles. Long and dry, with a subtle pepper note and a genuine sense of the eighteenth century about it.

Description
Old English Gin looks back to the very roots of London Dry, following a recipe dating to 1783. Made at the Hammer and Son distillery using historical methods, it is distilled in a pot still from eleven botanicals, juniper and coriander joined by angelica root, citrus peel and cinnamon. The nostalgia runs to the glass itself: each bottle is an antique-looking champagne bottle, just as gin was once sold.
The nose offers fresh juniper with citrus and a floral, spicy edge. On the palate it is full and balanced, juniper-led with a delicate sweetness, warm spice and that thread of cinnamon and liquorice, closing long and dry with a quiet flick of pepper. Stir it into a Negroni, or pour a gin and tonic with dry tonic and lemon zest to lift the juniper and citrus.
