Matured in ex-bourbon and bottled at 40%, it should show the Dominican signature of vanilla, light caramel and a touch of caramelised nuts over gentle oak. With added sugar unrecorded, it is fairly read as a smooth, rounded and uncomplicated island ron rather than a dry, spirit-forward style.
