Nordgold Exquisit Eierlikör

Nordgold Exquisit Eierlikor is a German egg liqueur from Nordbrand Nordhausen, a long established house in Nordhausen, produced under strict quality control and bottled at 20%. As an advocaat style egg liqueur it is built on egg yolk blended with spirit and sugar and rested to a thick, custardy texture, a category traditionally finished with vanilla. The result is a rich, creamy liqueur made to be sipped slow or spooned over a pudding rather than thrown into a long drink.

The nose is intense vanilla and egg with a delicate sweetness, the palate creamy and full bodied with a balanced vanilla flavour and a mild fruitiness, finishing gentle and pleasantly sweet with a light vanilla note that lingers. Behind the bar it works as a custardy body and dessert ingredient, adding richness, vanilla and sweetness, which makes it a natural in an egg liqueur sour, a Snowball with lemonade or a creamy after dinner serve. It also pairs with tiramisu or chocolate cake. Serve it chilled, neat or over ice, and as an egg based product keep it cool once opened and use it reasonably fresh.
