A single cask 19 Year Old Enmore bottled dry at 51%, a lighter and more herbal take on the wooden Coffey still, with chamomile tea, citrus, toffee and gentle wood across an unhurried, elegant pour.
Description
Nobilis chose this 2002 Enmore as a single cask, drawing on the EHP marque and Diamond's wooden Coffey still, the last operating example anywhere. Bottled unsweetened at 51%, it shows the more restrained, elegant face of Enmore rather than the dark, brooding one, rewarding slow attention.
Matured in ex-bourbon, it leans herbal and lightly floral, with citrus, orange peel and woody notes on the nose, then chamomile-like tea, leather and toast on the palate, finishing dry and gently bitter. Nineteen years have integrated the alcohol smoothly without smothering the lighter fruit. This is a dry, contemplative Demerara for drinkers who want layered herbal and tea character over weight and power, ideal for a long, quiet session.
