Vanilla, fresh fruit and a waxy, honeyed richness emerge from malted barley run through Nikka’s Coffey continuous still at Miyagikyo, a NAS single malt unlike any pot-still expression from the Miyagi Prefecture site.

Description
Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky is a single malt produced at Miyagikyo in Miyagi Prefecture, but distinguished from the pot-still releases by its route through Nikka's vintage Coffey continuous stills installed at the same site. Running malted barley through a continuous still is an unusual choice that yields a thicker, waxier spirit than the pot-still distillate, and qualifies as a single malt because it comes from one site using one grain.
Matured in Ex-Bourbon casks in the Nikka style, it shows vanilla and custard alongside fresh fruit and honey, with a rounded, slightly heavier texture that sets it apart from the more floral pot-still Miyagikyo. Bottled at 45%, it is a distinctive expression of what the Coffey still can do with malt.
