Description
Nice To Meet You is made by Adegas Castro Brey in Rias Baixas, in Galicia on Spain's green Atlantic coast. Rather than the region's usual solo Albarino, it blends four local white grapes: Treixadura for body and orchard fruit, Godello for structure, Torrontes for perfume and Caino Blanco for its bright acidity. The maritime climate here is cool and wet, with granite-based soils, a combination that gives Galician whites their salinity and nervy freshness. After fermentation the wine spends two months on its fine lees in stainless steel. This lees ageing lets spent yeast cells release mannoproteins into the wine, adding a rounder mouthfeel and a subtle savoury depth while the steel keeps the fruit clean and unoaked. The colour is pale straw. The nose is fresh and floral, with white peach, lemon and white flowers over a hint of melon and pear. The palate is textured but bright, the lees weight balanced by a saline, citrus-driven acidity and a stony finish that reflects the Atlantic setting. Serve chilled at 9 to 10 degrees.

Additional information
Made for the local seafood: clams, mussels, grilled prawns and octopus. The saline freshness and lees texture also suit white fish in light sauces and fresh green salads.
