Neisson, the small Martinique family distillery prized by agricole drinkers, bottles this organic Le Rhum from fresh-pressed sugar cane juice distilled on its column still. Made to AOC standards and grown organically, it shows the house's knack for balance even at full strength.

This is a fresh, largely unoaked expression that leans on the cane rather than wood: a round, fresh nose of citrus and sugarcane with a hint of mint and florals, a palate that drinkers consistently call balanced and elegant with bright fruit, and an oily, dry finish carrying a wisp of smoke and a floral lift. Bottled unsweetened at cask strength of 52.5 percent, it stays poised rather than hot, the proof giving body without aggression.
