Neisson Le Rhum Bio par Neisson 2018

Neisson is a small family distillery at Le Carbet (1931) with a reputation among agricole drinkers built on cane-juice purity, and this 2018 Le Rhum Bio is its certified organic blanc, distilled from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice rather than molasses and bottled unsweetened under the Martinique tradition.

The spirit comes off a tall creole column run low to keep the grassy, vegetal congeners that define agricole, then rested rather than aged so the cane stays front and centre. Expect raw sugarcane sap and earthy, vegetal aromas edged with citrus, a palate of cracked white pepper and fresh lime, and a finish that stays herbal and grass-driven. At 52.5% it carries weight and snap, a dry, no-additives blanc built for a Ti Punch.
