Meadowside Blending bottled this 8 Year Old in its Maltman range, one of the oldest independent Nc’nean releases, a 2017 single cask in ex-Bourbon, number 266.
Eight years in low-tannin American oak gave the light, fruity spirit vanilla and a soft cereal sweetness, long for a distillery whose spirit is mostly young.
At 54.2% it shows citrus, orchard fruit and vanilla, undiluted. A Maltman single cask.
