Museum’s rosé comes from D.O. Cigales in Castilla y León, a region built on fresh pink wine. The 2025 blends Garnacha, Tempranillo and Verdejo, rested two months on its lees for texture, and shows strawberry, citrus and a fine savoury edge.
Description
Museum make this rosé in D.O. Cigales, a Castilla y León appellation on the high plateau north of Valladolid that has produced fresh rosado for generations. The vineyards sit at altitude on sandy and gravelly soils over limestone, and the cool nights of the continental climate protect acidity and aromatic freshness in the grapes. The 2025 is a field-style blend of Garnacha Tinta, Tempranillo and Verdejo, fermented in stainless steel and then aged two months on its fine lees. That lees contact releases mannoproteins from the spent yeast, which round out the texture and add a subtle savoury depth without masking the primary fruit. The colour is pale pink. The nose leads with strawberry and redcurrant, lifted by lemon and white flowers, and the Verdejo lends a green, herbal note. On the palate it is dry and crisp, with fresh red berry, pear and a clean, mineral finish at 13% alcohol. This is a wine for early drinking, best within a year or two of the vintage. Serve chilled at 8 to 10 degrees. It suits shellfish, white fish and lighter salads.
