Mozart Chocolate Cream Gold is a cream liqueur from the Mozart Distillerie in Salzburg, the Austrian house that specialises in chocolate liqueurs. This bottling is full bodied and creamy at 17% in the 500ml bottle, drawing on fine Belgian chocolate, fresh cream and a cocoa distillate. As a dairy cream emulsion it should be kept cool once opened and treated as a dairy product with a finite life.
The nose is rich cocoa with vanilla, cream and a fine caramel sweetness, the palate full bodied, creamy and harmonious with dark chocolate, a creamy texture and a subtle spice, the finish long, soft and intensely chocolaty. In a mix it adds chocolate body, dairy richness and sweetness, the makings of a dessert cocktail or an Alexander style serve, and it pours neat on ice or slightly chilled. It also folds into coffee specialities and pairs with tiramisu, crème brulee and chocolate desserts.
