Description
From Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection, this 37 Year Old is a 1979 vintage. Mosstowie was the heavier malt Miltonduff made on its Lomond stills between 1964 and 1981, a separate spirit from the same Speyside distillery. From ex-Bourbon cask 5046, 99 bottles filled.
Thirty-seven years in a bourbon cask carried the fuller Mosstowie spirit to the edge of its life, ethereal beeswax and ester fruit, the tannins held just short of bitterness.
At 43.4% it shows deep mature orchard fruit and vanilla, undiluted. A 1979 Mosstowie 37.
