Description
From Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection, this 37 Year Old is a 1979 vintage. Mosstowie was the heavier malt Miltonduff made on its Lomond stills between 1964 and 1981, a separate spirit from the same Speyside distillery. From ex-Bourbon cask 14574, an outturn of 142.
Thirty-seven years in ex-Bourbon pushed the dense, oily Mosstowie character to a fragile, ethereal depth, long oxidation and esters bringing beeswax, sandalwood and soft tropical fruit.
At 42.4% it shows deep mature orchard fruit and vanilla, undiluted. A 1979 Mosstowie 37.
