Description
Sestante, the storied Italian bottler. Mosstowie was the heavier malt Miltonduff made on its Lomond stills between 1964 and 1981, a separate spirit from the same Speyside distillery. This 18 Year Old is a Rare Highland Malt bottling at 40%.
Eighteen years in ex-Bourbon let oxidation gain weight, baked orchard fruit and richer toffee building over the oily Mosstowie spirit with a waxy edge. A cool Speyside warehouse held the pace gentle and steady.
At 40% it shows the soft, oily, malty Mosstowie body over vanilla. A Mosstowie 18.
