This official 32 Year Old comes from Mortlach itself. It draws on a 1971 vintage. An outturn of 2,160 bottles. Mortlach's robust, umami-rich spirit is the work of worm-tub condensers and the Wee Witchie's triple pass, a regime in place at Dufftown since 1897.

By thirty-two years the oily, meaty spirit had reached the edge of its life, savoury depth turned to leather, beeswax and dried fruit, the tannins held short of bitterness.

At 50.1% it shows a hay-like note, honey, malt extract, vanilla, cooked fruit and glasshouse, undiluted. Mortlach at full weight.
