Description
Atom Brands, an independent bottler, selected this 20 Year Old. Mortlach is the Speyside outlier known as the Beast of Dufftown, its worm tubs and 2.81 distillation building a dense, sulphury, meaty spirit.
By twenty years the meaty spirit had turned rich and oxidative in the Oloroso, raisin, walnut, chocolate and a struck-match savour.
At 49% it shows fig, date, leather and dark chocolate framed by the dense Dufftown spirit, undiluted. Mortlach at full weight.
