Description
Decadent Drinks, the independent behind the Equinox & Solstice and Decadent Drams ranges, released this 16 Year Old. Mortlach, long the muscular heart of the Johnnie Walker blends, draws its meaty depth from low-copper worm tubs and a 2.81-times distillation regime.
By sixteen years the gamey, savoury spirit had turned oxidative, esters and acetals lending dried fruit and a meaty, oily weight beneath the vanilla.
At 48.5% it shows honey, dried fruit and a leathery depth over the meaty Mortlach body, undiluted. The savoury Dufftown style.
