Description
Decadent Drinks, the independent behind the Equinox & Solstice and Decadent Drams ranges, drew this 10 Year Old, a 2012 distillation. Mortlach's heavy, savoury style comes from worm-tub condensing and a part-triple distillation through the Wee Witchie, unchanged since 1897.
Ten years in ex-Bourbon let oak meet weight, vanilla and honey from lignin and wood sugars settling over the gamey, savoury spirit.
At 48.5% it shows honey, dried fruit and a leathery depth carried on the heavy Dufftown body, undiluted. The savoury Dufftown style.
