Description
Moon Import Clarendon Rum 2002 is a Jamaican pot still rum distilled at Clarendon in 2002 and bottled at 10 years old by the respected Italian bottler Moon Import. Clarendon is a workhorse Clarendon-parish distillery running both pot and column stills, and its pot still marks can be very funky, so expect robust tropical fruit, spice and the island's signature ester edge.
Matured in ex-bourbon oak and bottled unsweetened at 46%, this is a balanced vintage single in the purist Moon Import style. A decade of ageing rounds the pot still esters with vanilla, oak and dried fruit, giving a characterful but approachable Jamaican at a strength chosen to keep flavour and texture intact.
