Description
Mombasa Club traces its name to the gentlemen's club of British East Africa, and the gin is distilled at Thames Distillers in London. The Lemon Edition keeps the tried-and-tested London Dry base of juniper, coriander and a careful botanical set, then layers in sun-ripened lemons for a tangier, more Mediterranean reading of the original. At 37.5 percent it is mild and easy-going without losing its structure.
The nose is fresh lemon peel with juniper, coriander and light citrus. The palate is lively and balanced, clear lemon brightness over classic juniper, fine spice and a faint herbal note, before a clean, long finish with a delicate citrus echo. Pour with a neutral or lemony tonic and a fresh twist of lemon for an easy aperitif G&T.
