Mom Rocks God Save The Gin London Dry Gin

There is a gentle joke in the name: a London Dry that salutes the British anthem, made in Andalusia by González Byass, the sherry house with nearly two centuries behind it. The brief was to capture the classic London Dry style faithfully while giving it a modern, expressive face, right down to the black bottle with yellow accents and a stylised crown. At 37.5 per cent it is deliberately accessible, the kind of gin built to disappear happily into a mixer.

The nose is straightforward and inviting, juniper with gentle citrus and a light herbal hint. The palate is mild and classically juniper-led, fresh citrus accents over a soft spice, closing harmonious, lightly spiced and pleasantly fresh. It is a natural in a gin and tonic with a mild tonic and a twist of lemon zest, or stir it long into a Tom Collins.
