Mintis Originale Gin

Mintis is made by the Vergnano family at Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, Piedmont, where master distiller Denis Muni works a vacuum still at a gentle 60 degrees over eight hours so the delicate botanicals survive intact. The signature here is Pancalieri mint, a prized local variety, joined by hand-picked juniper, lemons and other Piedmont plants. Each bottle carries the distiller's signature, and the gin is made with no added sugar or colour.

The nose is fresh and fruity, juniper laced with mint and lemon. The palate keeps that cool clarity, mint and lemon zest playing over a clean juniper base. The finish is long. Build a Pancalieri Fizz with two parts gin, a little lime, a touch of syrup and a top of soda for the brightest version of itself.
