Description
The Whisky Chamber, a German independent, bottles this 9 Year Old, a 2006 vintage from Oloroso cask 900873, an outturn of 469 bottles. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.
Nine years in a sherry butt drew quick colour and dried-fruit sweetness into the light, floral spirit, melanoidins giving raisin as oxidation began.
At 59.6% it shows dried fruit, a sherried depth, chocolate, leather, new wood and nuts, undiluted. A Whisky Chamber 9.
