Description
Duncan Taylor, the Huntly independent founded in 1938 with one of Scotland's deepest cask inventories, whose Dimensions range showcases single casks at natural strength. This 9 Year Old, distilled in 2005, comes from ex-Bourbon cask DT 14-005, an outturn of 179. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.
Still young at nine years, the sweet, floral distillate took fast surface extraction from the ex-Bourbon oak, sweet cereal and vanilla to the fore.
At 53.3% it shows young apple, pear and vanilla, undiluted. A Dimensions 9.
