Description
Asta Morris bottles this young 8 Year Old, a 2013 vintage matured in a Palo Cortado sherry cask, number AM 155, 145 bottles filled. Miltonduff, a light, floral Speyside from near Elgin, its spirit long destined for the Ballantine's blend.
Eight years in Palo Cortado, the sherry that bridges Fino delicacy and Oloroso depth, gave the floral spirit a dry, nutty, saline character with dried-fruit weight.
At 52% it shows dry, nutty sherried fruit over the floral body, undiluted. A Palo Cortado 8.
