Description
Gordon & MacPhail, the Elgin house founded in 1895, has bottled Miltonduff as a single malt for generations. This Rare Vintage 30 Year Old is a 1968 vintage, bottled in 1998. Miltonduff, a light, floral Speyside from near Elgin, its spirit long destined for the Ballantine's blend.
By thirty years the light, floral spirit had become profound but delicate, old-library oak and waxy esters over fruit worn soft by the decades.
At 40% it shows a savoury, cooked-vegetable depth over mature floral fruit. A 1968 Rare Vintage 30.
