Description
From A.D. Rattray's Individual Cask Release range, this 16 Year Old is a 2007 ex-Bourbon single cask, number 800733, an outturn of 196. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.
By sixteen years the delicate Speyside make had turned oxidative, esters and acetals lending baked apple and an oilier, waxy depth beneath the vanilla.
At 54.6% it shows citrus and vanilla over the floral body, undiluted. An Individual Cask 16.
